![]() ![]() We were told rates were high because the hotel was full as it was high season. More Show lessīooked this hotel from overseas, and paid a very high rate, which did not include breakfast. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. We were very close to the airport but I didn't hear the planes. We kept our car there for the week while we were gone and that was included in the room stay price. You need a room key in the elevator to access the floors with rooms which made us feel safe. ![]() ![]() There is also a diner and pub at the hotel. There are a few restaurants about a block away that we were going to eat at but we opted for McDonald's next door because we were in the mood for fast food after dieting for our vacation. When we returned I didn't remember which one we were at so I pulled out the business card. Since we were taking a flight out in the early morning we used their shuttle service so the clerk at the front desk made sure to give us a business card so we knew which Holiday Inn shuttle to take back which was very helpful. We had a flight going out Saturday morning and we checked in Friday evening. All in all, I rate this a decent, budget oriented hotel super close to DCA.We didn't stay there for long but it was a very comfortable stay. My hotel rate was decent considering it included a huge breakfast. The workout room was available and adequate. I was able to skip eating lunch at the airport. The food was as good as it looked, the serving huge. My simple breakfast choice was served in an elegant manner with my own decanter of coffee, it was the highlight of the stay. The restaurant was clean, bright and modern. The neighborhood appears a little iffy and the hotel a bit worn. I was set to write a tepid review because of this and also the second room's hair dryer was broken. They immediately complied and the second room worked out ok. My first room had no heat, I called and asked for another room. The lobby is decent, the hotel staff are efficient. The commute to the hotel took 5 minutes from DCA. I used my cell to call the shuttle from baggage claim area, there were signs that say hotel shuttles outside. I ended up at this hotel by default during an ice storm in DC. ![]() |
